1956 United States House Election in Vermont

The 1956 United States House Election in Vermont was held on November 6, 1956, to elect United States Representative to represent the Vermont Congressional District. The total votes casted was 154,533. Winston L. Prouty (Republican) was elected, receiving 67.13% of the votes, which equals 103,736 votes. Winston L. Prouty also won the previous election in 1954.William H. Meyer (Democratic) won the following election in 1958.

The final election result is as follows. Winston L. Prouty of Republican (67.13%) won with a majority of the votes, defeated Camille St. E. Amour of Democratic (32.87%) by a comfortable margin of 34.26%.
