The 2015 United Kingdom Parliamentary Election in Scotland took place on May 7, 2015 to elect 59 seats. Scottish National secured 56 seats, which constitutes 94.9% of the total seats, alongside receiving 50.0% of the popular vote. A total number of 2,914,198 votes were cast in this election. The total number of registered voters was 4,099,532, resulting in a participation rate of 71.1%. There were totally 346 candidates ran for 59 seats across the 59 districts.
